On January 15, at the 2021 College Graduates Employment and Entrepreneurship Promotion Conference jointly held by the Education Department the of Fujian Province and Fujian provicial Department of Human Resources and Social Security , QNU was awarded as the 2020 Fujian Exemplary Unit in College Graduates Employment and Entrepreneurship. Two QNU teachers ,Wan Wenxian and Huang Xiaoning were awarded as 2020 Fujian Exemplary Individuals for Employment and Entrepreneurship of College Graduates.
In 2020, QNU thoroughly followed instructions of President Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee on the issue of college graduates employment, and thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Party, and fully implemented the decisions and plans made in the 2020 National College Graduates Employment and Entrepreneurship Network Video Conference. In the face of the unexpected outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, the QNU Department of Students Affairs closely followed the policy to make sure stability in 6 key areas and effectively meet 6 priorities. All our staffs made concerted efforts and shouldered the responsibilities, guided by a common goal. As of December 31, 2020, the employment rate of 2020 QNU graduates was 91.76%; the registered employment rate of graduates was 96.30%; the employment rate of students from 52 poor counties was 97.37%; the employment rate of disabled graduates was 100%; and the employment rate of Hubei graduates was 97.40%. The satisfaction rate from both graduates and employers towards the employment and entrepreneurship services provided by the university continues to rise.
