In late August, the final of the 5th Fujian College Students’ “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Fuzhou. QNU achieved its best performance since participation in the competition and won the honor of “Excellent Organization Prize”. The project “A Creative Way to Learn Sign Language” won the top prize in the group of vocational education. “Relaxing Cushion” was awarded the silver prize in the general group, “Nuts Overseas Learning” was the bronze winner of the Youth Red Dream Building Tour group, and the previous two will participate in the following national competition. Wang Hongwei was awarded “Excellent Innovation Mentor”.
The competition was co-organized by the Education Department of Fujian Province, China Vocational Education Association of Fujian and other organizations. A total of 270,000 students from 83 universities in Fujian province signed up for the general contests, participating in 75,000 projects; 48,000 from 79 universities for the Youth Red Dream Building Tour group, involving 13,000 projects; 100,000 from 122 colleges and universities for the Vocational Education group, participating in 29,000 projects.
