Recently, the Fujian Provincial People's Government announced the list of winners of the 12th Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award in Fujian. There are five winners from Quanzhou Normal University. Among them, one first prize, two second prizes and two third prizes have been awarded. It is QNU's first time that the first prize, second prize and third prize of provincial and ministerial scientific research awards have been fully covered. The number and awards of winners rank first among all the common colleges and universities in Fujian.
Professor Qu Guangqing, the president of QNU, won the first prize for his monograph Legislative Research on the Law Applicable to Foreign-related Maritime Relations-and Exploration of Maritime Conflict Law Philosophy and Maritime Legislative Culture.
Professor Ma Wenyou, from the School of Physical Education, won the second prize for his monograph Aesthetic Culture of Chinese Kung Fu. Professor Huang Wenzhong, from the School of Fine Arts and Design, also won the second prize for his monograph The Study of Wu Dayu.
The paper written by Professor Liu Yisheng of Business School, which is titled Review of the Suitability of Interest Rate Rules to China's Market Economy, as well as the research report with the title Evaluation and Development of Fujian National Fitness Implementation Plan (Project Leader: Professor Xu Yueyun, the School of Physical Education) carried out by the subject group with the same title of the report, won the third prizes.
It is reported that the Fujian Social Science Excellent Achievement Awardholds its selection every other year. This year a total of 232 achievements were awarded, including 19 first prizes, 52 second prizes, 148 third prizes and 13 youth awards of excellence.
